Kyrenia Youth Center Folk Dances Group is the leading dance group that represents Cypriot folklore both domestically and abroad.

Our group which represented the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the best way especially in various festivals abroad has taken part in many domestic and foreign organizations from 1998 till this day.

Since the day it was established, the group has carried out its activities without stopping and has become better and better. Our group which performs in weddings and the preceding evening when henna is applied to the bride and groom attends to Cypriot culture and instils this culture into Cypriot people. With its performances in North Cyprus hotels, the group introduces our warm culture to tourists as well. Fascinating the audience with its dances at banquets, feasts and private parties organized, our group will continue to go on with its activities within the TRNC.

The group has taken part and performed in many contests in several countries. The festivals where Kyrenia Youth Center has participated to are as follows: 2001 International Mediterranean Festival, Tunisia; 2002 Days of Culture and Art Festival, Büyükçekmece-İstanbul; 2003 Commagene Festival, Adıyaman; 2004 Altın (Golden) Karagöz (Main figure of the Turkish shadow show) Festival, Bursa; 2005 Confolens Festival, France, 2006 Summer Fest International Folklore Festival, Hungary (Best Group Award); 2006 Subotica Festival, Serbia, Reims Festival of Rhythm and Colors, France (The “National Group with the Best Dance Performance” Award) and 2007 Valentigney Festival, France.
